An early 19th century penner.
A red leather etui containing an integral ink well and silver dip pen. c 1820
The red leather is finished with engraved silver bands where the lid meets the base. The lid pulls off to reveal a silver block with two compartments. One holds the sliding dip pen and the other has a fitted inkwell with screw on lid.
It is in excellent order- no damage.
There are no silver hall marks which is quite usual for small pieces of silver at this date.
