Mid Century French Amethyst Gold Ring
Spectacular French mid-century amethyst cocktail ring; this ring is a real statement piece and was made by the French jeweller Raymond Dubois in the 1950s. The amethyst weighs 35.5cts and is a rich deep purple, accented by two baguette diamonds each weighing 0.16ct. The setting is in 18ct gold, ornate and intricately carved with the stone sitting high on the finger due to its large size. Weight 18.3gms; stamped with the French state control mark for 18ct gold (Eagle's head) and the maker's mark for Raymond Dubois. Finger size M (UK), 6.25 (US), 53 (French) which we can re-size for you if required. Measurements 2.5cm long x 2cm wide x 1cm deep. The ring is in excellent vintage condition with normal wear and tear for a ring of this age. C.1950.
